Problems after update 4.11

Postby fawkess » Wed May 21, 2014 11:08 am

After updating (4.11) PT4 does not put the new HH in the "View Stats" reports, does not show almost all the old database and the HUD is not present on all tables.
I use it with PokerStars on iMac OS X 10.9.3

Please enable logging via Configure -> Options -> Logging Enabled and restart PT4. Then reproduce this problem and then report it via our support system with the log file - that will help us figure out what is going on here and get it fixed for you. You can find that file by clicking File --> Show User Data Folder in the main PT4 window - the file we need is the text file called PokerTracker4 that is in that folder.

After updating to the latest version; every time I click "get hands while playing" I get an OS X pop up "PT4 wants to make changes" and I have to enter my OS X password to allow this. Anyway to turn this off?

That happens if you have the Memory Grabber on to import the few observed hands that PokerStars allow us to import. This needs extra permissions. You can turn that off via Configure > Sites & Import Options > PokerStars > Enable Memory Grabber if you like.

I am currently experiencing the same issues like OP (sucks during Sundays session :( )
Can we move back to an older version?
Or isnt possible due to this database update?
Please advice. Thanks.

Please open a Support Ticket and report your problem - the more information we get the better, and some users have configuration issues which can be resolved and what is described in the OP doesn't sound like a general issue. Without seeing your logs we can't be sure.

If you revert to a previous version you would need to restore a backup made before the database update as updated databases will not work with older versions of PT4.

I restarted a couple of times and then it became better (performance problem after db update?)
Anyways, I installed your latest update 4.11.3 yesterday and exverything seems to run smoothly again. Thanks.

Thanks for the update. You will need to update to this version as there is an important fix from v4.11.3.

Question: I did that update to 11.6 (coming from 11.3). Then I read through a few posts in this release thread and heard about rebuilding cache and other users having huge issues. Should I now rebuild this or not?

Coming from 4.11.3 a cache rebuild is required.
