ODBC Broken Link

Postby Red_Diamond » Tue May 13, 2008 3:42 am

Well, time to make my first post on the NEW forum...

I decided to try to get pt-Stud configured for the PokerRoom network. Of course, I need the ODBC drivers, but while the link in the help file directs users to this web site, the actual file is missing.

Peace...

You can get the ODBC driver here:

Thanks for the working link Mike.

I installed the drivers successfully, but now seem to have one other issue.

Here is the response from trying to Force Read::

Success - The import was a success! 0 new hand(s) were imported.
Done reading database(s), starting import...
Database Error - Error finding the limit structure for game #0 played at table: Kasan.
Reading database, hand #P4-67553982-108 (1 of 43)...
User manually triggered import...05/13/2008 03:29:36 PM

That Kasan was the name of the correct able alright. Hmm. Is it possible I missed something basic, or could it be a bug with a new PokerRoom change or something? If you want the db file I could try to send it if you wish to take a peek.

I don't recall seeing that exact error, but there have been multiple site changes lately. Try the latest PTS beta patch and see if the errors go away.

Hmm...

I updated to 1.05.02h and still am having problems.

Database Error - Error finding the limit structure for game #-1 played at table: Piura. (etc...)

After looking at the utilities error function for further analysis, I am getting things like...

Unable to Open file.

Unable to get the game date(3) for game # (VERY COMMON)

Error getting the player betting (3rd St.) information

Unexpected end of hand for game #

Error finding 3rd street for game #

I'm not sure what to do next. I do know at ONE time, about a year ago i did get PR to work through Stud7, then eventually it stopped working when I tried to resume again. Then I took a long break, and now I want to try some stud out on PR, I'm having the same issue as before of not even getting it to import hands right.

Hmm. I would give the PT3 a try, but it seems that one doesn't support the PokerRoom network yet.

This sounds like a regional settings issue:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1364

If you have that set up and you still get errors, try starting a new PokerRoom statistics.db file and try again after telling PTS to import from the new file. The first file may be corrupted.

Alright, head's up.

I took the .db file and moved it to another directory, then relogged into PR and played a hand. A new DB file was created and I imported from that. This worked without a problem, so perhaps it was a glitch/bug/whatever in the other .db file. I guess I'll just stick with this new clean db and leave the other one as a historical archive for the hold'em hands. At least PokerOffice imports Hold'em hands from that one.
