Omaha Hand Range Selector (Creating Categories)

Postby live4therisk » Fri Mar 18, 2022 3:09 am

I want to create categories of Omaha hands using this tool, but having trouble.

I've read some old posts about others having issues, not sure if has been fixed.

Just a basic category I'm trying to create is Double Suited Connected Broadway Hands: AKQJ-AJT2

The weakest hand would for example AhJhTs2s

The best I got was to create a range that has Double Suited and Choose A High or Better and T High or Better, I also Exclude Any pairs

Here is syntax it automatically created.

Omaha Hi Hand Range: RANGE[SUITED:DBL-ANYA^-ANYT^]-RANGE[PAIR:ANY]

This is not working? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

That filter is working for me so can you please specify exactly how it is not working for you.

I am not getting the results I want.

I want double suited hands in this range AKQJ-AJT2, for example the lowest hand would be AsJhTs2h.

Attached is a screenshot of the Omaha Hand Range Selector.

How does the Double Suited section work?

There are two rows, I would think the 1st row would hand two card combos such as AK, AQ etc...

AND the second row would handle the other two card combo such as T2, T3 etc...

But, that's not how it works, or I am not understanding something.

Maybe I need to add multiple ranges instead of doing it in this particular section.

Can you explain to me the mechanism of this?

Thanks!

Those are not filters for two card combos. RANGE[SUITED:DBL-ANYA^-ANYT^] will return hands that contain at least one A and at least one T or better giving you:

[A] [A,K,Q,J or T] [x] [x]

Use a filter for all A high rundowns alongside a separate filter for double suitedness and no pairs:
