SNG Equity Adjustment

Postby PairOfBlanks » Mon Jul 06, 2015 3:55 pm

Making equity adjustments for tournament results is very helpful to help players figure out (earlier) how well they play and what to expect in the future. This has many imperfections, for example, it can't account for skill/blind-level factors in ICM (big stacks get an edge with higher blinds, too), and setup luck is unmeasured. I'd like an option to make equity adjustments, but only heads-up. Once heads-up begins, the strategy is equivalent to a cash game and adjustments will beyond-any-doubt increase the prediction value over the result-data. Awesome software so far! Cheers.

Perhaps considerations should be posted here for all to discuss if it's worthwhile or not. Many thanks.

I'm just wondering if it's at all possible to do it myself. Is it? Where should I start?

Honestly I'm not even sure the best place to start to get a successful and accurate model of skill. That alone will make this a very troublesome project.
