How to upgrade pt3 to pt4?and what price?

Postby lam3e10 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 10:41 pm

i've purchased PT3 full-set. but i have been using the pt4 beta and quite satisfied using it. And now i want to upgrade my pt3 to pt4 4.02, can i do this? Or i have to pay the full price to buy a new pt4?

Because i went to the Add-on or Upgrade page and have tried to enter both my pt3 code and pt4 beta code and it shows not eligible for any add-on or upgrades.

I am not affiliated with PT but I believe upgrading from PT3 to PT4 for paid users is free.

This is to get you through the next few hours, wait for official word to be sure.

But the Community page of PT4 says, i quote it:

"existing PokerTracker 3 users who purchased before June 10 2011 will get a 70% discount off the price of their PokerTracker 4 Upgrade if you act now. If you purchased PT3 after June 10th 2011 then you will earn a 100% discount off the equivalent version of PokerTracker 4!"

And they have a link for click in to carry on, but afterward it doesn't show any helpful links or information of how to upgrade.

We included a link for the purchase page, see where it says "finally available for sale" in the blog? That is the link to purchase PokerTracker 4 - or your can buy it while visiting our website. As long as you are logged into your account and we have a record of your previous PokerTracker 3 purchse, then the 70% discount will automatically be applied for PT3 users who purchased before June 10 2011. Anyone who puchased PT3 on or after June 10th 2011 will get PT at a 100% discount (free!) - but you must still place an order for the discount to be applied.

PT4 Order Page: https://www.pokertracker.com/products/PT4/purchase.php

PS: Be sure you are logged into your account first as explained here!

I noticed my email address of forum account is different to the email of my PT3 ordering account.(but i forget my latter email account password) So the forum probably can't check that i've purchased PT3. But i have the registration code and confirmation code of my PT3, can you help me?

...which means early adopters get hosed, you'd think they'd want to reward people who stuck their necks out early. Not exactly an uncommon practice but if PT comes out with a new product, you can bet that I'm not going to make the same mistake twice. =(

I'm logged into my account and it still reads $99.99 in the cart, no sign of a discount.

I purchased on 02/13/2010.

We aren't "hosing" anybody - early adopters got to use PT3 for it's entire lifespan, including all of the updates that came along with it. What we don't want to do is turn people off who are getting into PT3 late in the game.

You should still be getting this discount and I'm not sure why you're not seeing it - I'll make sure this gets looked into and I'll get back to you.
