Unable to connect to PostgreSQL after recent PT4 update

Postby ShuM » Sat Aug 01, 2026 2:57 pm

Hi,I'm experiencing an issue with PokerTracker 4 after the recent update. PT4 is unable to connect to the PostgreSQL database. What's happening:Upon launch, I get a "Unable to connect to database" error.Standard credentials (including the default 'dbpass') are not working. What I've tried:Verified that the PostgreSQL service is running.Attempted to reconnect using default settings.Could you please check if this is a known issue with the current version? Let me know if you need any logs or further details to investigate.
Best regards, Alexandr

Are you able to create a new database instead of connecting to an existing one? Please restart PokerTracker 4 using the logging enabled link on your Windows Start Menu, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us via a Support Ticket:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Logs\PokerTracker4.log

To access the log file open File Explorer in Windows and enter the following in the address bar:

%localappdata%\PokerTracker 4\Logs

The file we need will be the text file called 'PokerTracker4' or 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder.
