PostgreSQL ?

Postby dlperrio » Wed Dec 01, 2021 2:53 am

I had an old computer that I use to have Pokertracker on. I deleted PT4 but the PostreSQL file is still on there, is it possible to retrieve my old hand histories from that?

If you still have the original PostgreSQL 'data' folder then you can try and connect to that again by reinstalling the same major version of PostgreSQL that was used before.

You cannot "import" raw PostgreSQL files directly into PokerTracker 4. You have to reinstall PostgreSQL using the same major version of PostgreSQL that was used originally for that install. So if PostgreSQL v9.3 was used for that you would have something like this:

C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.3\data\

So in that case you would download and run the installer for PostgreSQL v9.3:

Download PostgreSQL

Also I'm not sure what version my old postgre is. The folder doesnt say. C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\. Last time it was updated was 2014 so I assume its version 9.3.

I dont know if it makes any difference but I was probably using pokertracker 3 back then.

That may not be right now that I think about it I think I went from PT2 to PT4.
