Database update time?

Postby NoOddz » Thu Nov 07, 2024 3:46 pm

Hi,
I just tried to update to 4.18.4, but the database has been updating for more than an hour now. How long should this take in general? The zip file for the backup is about 125mb.

Is this still going or has the update completed successfully for you now?

Last night I let it update for about 3 hours but it never finished and I had to close my computer. Today I tried couple of times but it never finishes. When I skip the database update HUD and hand import are not working. So my answer is unfortunately no, no success yet.

Once the update has started it will need to be completed so that database will likely not be usable if an update in progress has been cancelled. For now create a new database which should get things up and running in the meantime:

Guide: Creating A New Database in PokerTracker 4

When that's done turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. After PokerTracker 4 has loaded take a screenshot of your 'Database -> Database Management' window and then create a support bundle via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4. Finally attach your screenshot and support bundle to a Support Ticket where a technician can review your configuration and see if there is anything that might be causing a problem with the database update.
