pto freezes on me

Postby discgolfnut » Thu Dec 04, 2008 7:53 pm

I recently had pto crash after full tilt poker crashed on me. It gave me a couple hands that had errors. I purged them and tried to auto import again, pto had to import like 3k hands and it took a few hours. I waited, then I got an error from the same hand I expunged after the last import. At this point I went into my ftp hh folder and deleted all the hhs in the folders. Now when I click auto import it tells me there are 23 files found, it takes forever to process them and then crashes. Help please. I've been digging around the forums and can't find any threads. Usually I can fix these things myself just need some direction.

If you deleted all the hands, how can it be finding 23? What folder do you have PTO set to import FTP hands from?

I have been using pto for a couple years and never had any real trouble. I changed to an sql database around jan 08 because my last one was full, but I haven't hand much trouble with it this year. There are nothing in the sub folders of hh anymore, but there are some temp files in the main folder. I have been looking at the games on tilt, so I guess the observed histories are there.

Alright. I just cleared all the temp hands and started pto fresh. I opened ftp and opened like 5 tables. I started the auto import and it said 2 files found 0 hands imported. Then it froze again. Thoughts?

Have you tried doing a Vacuum/Full Analyze on the database? What version of PTO are you using?

I was looking at those features, but didn't want to do something wrong and mess up the db. I will try those and see what they can do. I am running pto version 1.13.02 w/ ace hud 1.19.6 beta.

I tried the vacuum/analyze option and clicked compress. Its been sitting here for awhile, and my task manager has pto listed as not responding. But I'm going to leave it running and get some sleep. maybe it will all be fixed when i wake up.

Well I woke up this morning and got a text box that the vacuum/analysis had finished. I started up ftp. Started the auto import, it made it through the first three imports so I bumped it up from 3 tables to 13 (I usually have 19 open) and it has been hung for the last 10 minutes. Alright it was hung for 15 minutes, then finally went through. I had the auto rate players when importing hand histories radio box checked, could that significantly slow down the import process? I really don't remember having it checked and it seems to be importing much more quickly now.
