101 - SQLSTATE = 08001

Im trying to convert a PT database to Postgre SQl.

But I get this message when im trying...

1. entered the wrong username/password/server name/port
2. Not started the postgre SQL database server
3. Not installed the postgreSQl ODBC driver

Im running Postgre 8.3.6.1 and I have installed the ODBC drivers.
When imtrying to start Postgre in the control panel im not succed, but no error message. Whats wrong?

I don't understand what this means. Are you doing this through the Administrative Tools > Services window?
