I think my player idex got F'ed.. SQL DB, not access

Help! ;)

I think my player index got wrecked.

XP set as admin, running the sql db not an access db. PT2 2.17.03e was running when this happened. I tried apliying the f patch but that didn't solve.


Was trying to import some PS tourney summaries from my emial - which I'd never tried before. Once this finished, my TOURNEY player index disappeared. (Ring appears fine.)

WHen I pull up the tourney stats no players are listed in the player list. Also, trying to select my player IF yields the following message:

"Datawindow error: SQLSTATE =22021 Erro: invalid byte sequewnce for encoding "UTF8"; 0xb6; error while executing query"

Interestingly, I'm playing on FTP right now and it is having no difficulty importing MTT HH files, at least it isnt erroring on me.


Help? DO I need to submit a seperate support ticket???

Open the Utilities > PostgreSQL Settings window.
If the value in the "ODBC Entry to Use" field is not "PostgreSQL Unicode" change it to this and save the changes.

Now, to get the registry settings corrected you have to:

Go to the File > Maintain Database Names window.
Click the Add button.
Enter a new description, check the "Dflt" box and in the last field choose "Select existing PostgreSQL database" from the list.
Select your PostgreSQL database again from the next window.
Click OK to save all the changes.
CLOSE AND REOPEN POKER TRACKER.
