PT Lagging my Pokerstars

For the first 6 weeks after formatting I was able to play 30+ tables on pokerstars rather easily with PT and PAHUD. Now, if I try play more then 15 tables it really laggy, and every minute or so it seems like all the tables freeze for 5-10 seconds and its really ennoying. Its getting to the point where I cant use PAHUD/PT anymore while playing multiple sng tables.

Is their any way to fix this?

Still really slow, even slower now, Today while doing a 25 table session of sngs, PT completly froze for a minute causing me to timeout on several tables for a few minutes.

Is their any tips you recommend? I checked the faq

PAHUD only works on like 1/10th of the tables, it worked perfectly fine the first few weeks of my new db.

Start a new database. Use the Add button on the File > Maintain Database Names window.

I have postsql, I only have about 65,000 hands in my db, is this normal? I thought it could hold more hands.

No, it's not normal. Use the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window to do a FULL vacuum/analyze on the database.

Then WITHOUT POKERACE RUNNNING click the "Enable Logging" box on the auto-import window. Play for a while with all these tables open. Do you notice it lagging? If not then it's likely something with PAHUD that is causing it. If you do notice it with just PT running then click the View Log link and copy/paste the text of the log file into a reply.

Ok, I did a 15 table and 29 table session on pokerstars today as you said with pt importing and no pahud.

The 15 table was Id say 95% smooth

The 29 table was I'd say 85% smooth

But when I do 15+ tables with pt/pahud its roughly 50% smooth(really choppy) and pahud usually doesnt even work at all.

I looked at the logs from today and they seem pretty consistent and I don't think you need to even bother to look at them.

Maybe there is something you can do with PokerAce to speed it up as that sounds like when the problems really happen, once you start PokerAce.

Yea I tried their already, he recommended caching my PAHUD, but it doensn't work with my version of PostgreSQL. This will be the third time I have deleted/installed a new database of PostgreSQL in the last few months. I dont recall this ever happening with the older versions of PostgreSQL.

If I were to remove 8.3 and install an older version for my new db which version would you recommend?

I had forgotten that PAHUD had issues with 8.3. You can download the older 8.2 version of PostgreSQL here...
