Entering Exchange Rates.. Help..

Postby 1968 » Sat Mar 08, 2008 12:49 pm

I tried entering the euro exchange rate for the last view days (mass enter). but the rate didnt change in the 'general tab'. This is Prima btw.

I am assuming entering exchange rates will have no effect on US tables?..

*just to confirm date convention: it is month/day/year correct?

Also, have there been any improvements in PT3 with regards to currency conversions?..

The exchange rates will only change the amounts that show with a "$" sign, it doesn't change the individual betting amounts in the hands.

You might want to ask about this in the PT3 forum sections.

Ok but the 'total amount won' for my euro tables did not change..

*will the bb/100 remain the same once done correctly?

No the BB/100 does not change, only the amounts that show "$" in the formatting. If the total amount won didn't change then you must not have entered the exchange rates for this. Go to the Session Notes tab and in the second section, the last field says "Exchange Rate". Is there a value in this field other than "N/A" or "1.0"?

It says exchange rate is unknown.. Have sent you a screenshot via PM of my general tab..

*EDIT
Discovered the problem.. I had to input the exchange rate into the "GPB" even though they are euro tables.. Bug in PT2 for Prima tables?

just to add to that- you actually need to copy the exchange rates in both GPB and euro columns for the exchange rate to work.. It wouldnt work if I only entered data in one column..

Bump: I entered exchange rates for both GBP and EUR still getting "N/A" in the tab exchange rates. Euro tables at Prima FWIW

It works OK for me.

Are you sure the tables are shown as being EURO and not USD in PT? Are you sure you entered the exchange rates for the exact dates you played on?

Tables are showed as NL(€3) etc. What you mean is that I entered the date correctly right? 'cause that I did. You don't mean that I'd had to know the exact rate of that date do you? I just entered the rate now 15 days later
