Player name missing

Postby Kman » Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:23 am

Hello,
I am also a newbie to the board and feel I have a silly question to ask.
I downloaded the trial version of PT2 (version 2.16.03d) yesterday and everything appeared fine. I received all my stats from PokerStars and integrated them into the program without any troubles. I then went to review my "ring game" history and I was prompted that I needed to pick a player, (me of course). It directed me into the preferences tab, where I then attempted to find my name in the drop down bar at the bottom of the page. Alas, there was nothing there, not my name, nor any of my opponents names. I could not even type it in anywhere. I have tried numerous things but cannot figure this out. Obviously, without my player name, I am unable to use the program.
Does anyone have any advice for me? Do I need to upgrade to PT3?? Please, any help would be great.

Please ask PT2 questions in the PT2 forum at the bottom of the page.

Can you see your player name in the player list on the left hand side?

If there are no player names in that list then you haven't loaded any ring games.

Are you sure you imported some hands. PT does not support play money. Are you playing real money ring games?
Does the auto-import window indicate that some hands were imported?

Sorry, did not see anything on PT2 below, (I came from the PT2 forum that has been locked to new questions).

No, I cannot see anything down the left side.

Hi Pat, I am positive that I imported the hands. As I was playing last night I started the timer for "My first Poker Tracker Database" and it showed the hands importing. I am playing real money ring games as well. I spent a few hours last night trying to figure it out and I am at a total loss?

Are you using Vista on this computer?

Open the Utilities > Export Hand Histories To File window. Enter a folder name and click the Export button. It should come up and prompt you that xx hands will be exported. Does it do this or does it say there are no hands? If it says "xx hands will be exported" just click the Cancel button, you don't have to actually do it.

Ok, I feel stupid. It says: "there are no hand histories in the data base that meet your criteria". Help, WTF am I doing wrong??

Open the PokerStars auto-import window in PT and click on the help link at the top right corner of the window.
Make sure you have it setup exactly as detailed there.

If you think it's setup correctly, click the Enable Logging box on the auto-import window and start the timer.

Play some hands for 10 minutes.

Then click the View Log link on the auto-import window and copy/paste the text of the log file into a reply.
