"creating database cache....."

When i open up PAHUD the main window picks up the tables i have on full tilt. But then a second little window appears with the heading"creating database cache..." and in the windown it says "retrieving ring stats from database 1 of 1....". Its been like this for 45 mins with no stats appearing on screen at all.

When you first create the cache it can take a long time if your database is large.
If you don't know why this is happening at all, then you must have enabled database caching without realising.
See the Options -> Preferences -> Databases window.
Personally, I use the cache, but disable the auto-rebuild-at-startup option. I rebuild the cache at the end of the day after I've stopped playing. If you do it every day it doesn't take long. This is the idea with the auto build at startup thing, but I feel it gets in the way there..
