Microgaming/Prima Problems

Postby anokabball24 » Mon Aug 11, 2008 4:40 pm

When I installed Eurolinx, my computer created the folder under c:/microgaming, not c:/programfiles/microgaming

Does this look right?

yes, but I don't think you need the 'global\HandHistory' bit, but then for my prima skins the gamehistory.dat file is in the main xxxxxPokerMPP folder.

Are the hands being imported correctly into PT2?
Have you configured PAH to know about the correct PT2 database(s)? Options -> Preferences -> Databases -> Holdem.

The Hud is configured correctly with all the databases selected (maybe its too many? like 13) and I believe I am importing correctly since I can see all the hands I previously played in the session and the profit/loss also matches... so where is the problem?
Did I link them correctly? PT2 has to be linked with gamehistory.dat and Hud his linked global/handhistory...
Thanks

That does sound like a lot of databases!
Do you have the cache enabled? This will improve performance.
Do you use the 'reset' option on the PT2 auto import window for Prima regularly? If you have a lot of old hands in the .dat file it slows things down. Once they've been imported into PT2, you don't need them to still be in the .dat file.

You shouldn't actually cause a problem, but you can remove that file (with the poker site closed) and it will be recreated.

Options -> Preferences -> Databases.
It can take quite a long time to build the cache the first time, so run it over night or something.

Sorry - the gamehistory.dat file you mention above, where prima writes it's hand histories.
Make sure PT2 has imported everything from it, stop prima, stop importing, and rename the file to gamehistory_bad.dat.
Restart prima and a new file should be created. Once it is you can delete the renamed file (personally, I'd just delete it straightaway because I know it works, but just to be on the safe side in case you get the wrong file or something, rename it first).
