Cold Call vs. Call PFR

Postby reMAX21 » Thu Apr 03, 2008 11:15 am

I know that this has to have a simple explanation, but I can't see it. What is the difference between "Call PFR" and "Cold Call Pre-Flop". According to your documentation:

Cold Called Pre-Flop
Description: The percentage of time a player cold called pre-flop.

Called Pre-Flop Raise
Description: The percentage of time a player called a pre-flop raise.

I've seen the definition of cold call as: [idhl]To call a bet and a raise. An example would be if it is preflop and you are in late position, a person in earlier position raises the blinds and you call two bets flat. [/idhl]That sounds like calling preflop raise.

I've seen where a typical TAG will have a Cold Call % of .5 to 1 and a Call PFR of 6, so these figures obviously aren't the same.

Could you please explain (in detail please) the differences between these 2 stats. Thanks in advance.

Cold call is whenever a user has no money in the pot (cold) and calls two bets.

Call PFR is anytime that a user calls a pre-flop raise regardless if they have money in the pot or if it is a single bet or two bet.

All cold calls are call PFR but not vice versa.
