Few presale questions...

Hello!

I am interested in buying P HUD, kindly answer some of these presale questions so that I can go forward.

The main thing that i love about hud is the mucked hands show... thats all i need, the rest is too complicated to learn right now, maybe later.

Can I [b5rq]only [/b5rq]register HUD and [b5rq]not [/b5rq]PT and use it on multiple tables, like i said i only want the mucked hands feature?
Will this money be counted if i decide to buy PT3 which i understand comes with its own HUD?
I understand i can get 2 licenses for laptop and desktop, but heres my prob, my laptop has 2 OSs... one vista and second win2k, the same with my desktop: vista,xp, what do u suggest here?

If you only want to view mucked hands then, yes, you can only use PokerAce Hud and that is fine. Your PAH purchase can be applied towards PT3 if you decide to upgrade at some point.

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to verify multiple OS systems or Virtual Machines. Each operating system counts as one installation regardless if it is on the same computer or not. If you need to use PokerAce Hud on all for of those operating systems (despite it only being on two separate computers), you would need to purchase two licenses.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can you give me a rough estimate on how much PT3 is going to cost and how long do you expect it to be out in?
Is there anyway you can make an exception for me regarding the licenses for now? because I am preinforming ou of my problem and if required I can use a digital camera to send you the pictures of just these two computers if needed...

PokerTracker 3 will costs a few dollars more than PT2 + PAHud...we have not yet released the final pricing but it will not be much more.

Sorry, it is not possible for me to make an exception. The entire system is automated and there is no way for us allow this...

You should be able to install PokerAce Hud and PT2 on one of the Windows partitions/drives and access the same installation via the other Windows install. This would only count as installation on one computer.

I can't help you with that specifically nor can I guarantee that will work. I [bidc]think[/bidc] that it will work.

Simply install it under one of the O/S' then browse to the installation directory from the other O/S and try to launch it. Pretty straight forward.

Thanks for replying.

I really need it to work in both the sitiuations,buying the software but if it does not work can i give it back? or at least you must commit yourself to helping me to get it working in both situations otherwise i will only be able to use it 25% of the time which does not make a lot of sense.

Both PokerTracker and PokerAce Hud offer trial versions. Try installing the trial versions and accessing them like I mentioned to see if it will work.

One purchase is good for installation on two operating systems. Worst case, if it does not work then you can run it on 50% (not 25%).

I should add that this is fairly common practice. Installing the same software on two different operating systems, regardless if they are on the same machine, counts as installing twice. Thinking about it, I'm not sure that it would count as one installation for any software?

You're right, I am getting a fair deal and I like your software as its fairly priced, if you wanted to you could have been greedy and priced it above what most people like me cant afford, $25 is reasonable esp since i can run it on both my laptop and PC legally.

You got yourself another customer, expect my purchase via paypal before Monday.

I do have some other questions on PT though that i would like you to point me to the right diretion in the help if you can as i am sure you have documented it:

1. Do I need multiple databases?
2. whats that postgresql for?
3. i dont touch anything to do with the database, will it get too big and corrupt if i dont do anything or is it best that i dont do anything? (i only open PT to get HUD up and running...basically i open PT then click on automatically import->pokerstars, then start timer.... other than that, not a single thing)
