Newbie silly Q.

Just downloaded the 60 day trial. Im trying to get my head around poker tracker at the moment.

Can anyone give me some advice as to the HUD configurations. i.e what stats should i start with on my HUD? I know its down to personal pref, but can anyone advise me as to some of the more important ones and why?

Also, when i see people post hand histories on forums. While describing a player they quote numbers from their HUd such as 'villain is pretty nitty 11/4 over 250 hands aggression factor is 2. '
I know this may be a stupid Q, but what does '11/4' refer to??

Please post PT3 questions in the PT3 section - PAHud is a separate application which only works with PT2.

The two main stats that people quote are VP$IP (Voluntarily Put money In the Pot) and PFR (PreFlop Raise) - so; how many hands they play and how often they raise preflop. This gives a general idea of how loose and aggressive (or not) a player is preflop.

Kraada explains how he designed and built his HUD in the How To: Advanced HUD Configuration but you will probably find this a bit too complicated initially.
The best way to work with the HUD is to start with a few basic stats displayed and get used to using them and then add in a few more based on what you want to know about your opponents.
