Re: RAID Strip Size and PT3/PSQL

First, excellent choice of 2 Raptors in Raid 0. That is the setup that I am currently using and no one has come close to my import and retrieval speeds. I think you will be very happy with this setup! :) Whatever block size you use should be identical to PostgreSQL's page size which by default is 8K...

Re: Error while viewing starting hands

Please send a support ticket, if you have not done so already. I assume that you are experiencing the bug where some of your hands are displaying a limit of $0 which is causing the query to fail. We'll have this fixed for the next beta release.

Best regards,

Derek

Re: remote postgres
I didn't put in the IP address of the box, just the hostname, which was configured in the hosts file. I was getting a message saying PT3 needed PostgreSQL in order to run. I solved the problem by installing the full PT3+PSQL and then pointing to my remote box once...

Re: Hands not showing up

These are errors in the queries which are then returning inaccurate results. Could you please replicate these issues and send the PokerTracker.log file (located in your main PT3 directory) to me via the PokerTracker Support[/url:2...

Re: Converting PT2 Database

In PT2? PostgreSQL Unicode.

Re: Difference in results between PT3 and PT2...

What site were these hands played on? PokerTracker 3 is correctly picking up some additional hands that PT2 was missing :) As for the timing, PT2 was ending your session at the time your final hand was dealt. PokerTracker 3 is adding some time from this point to account for the hand actually finishi...

Re: I too keep getting an error message when starting up...

[quoteise]I'ev posted this twice tonight. EDIT: thrice now :)

If you don't know your postgres password, set authentication to "trust" in pg_hba.conf to avert the need for knowing a correct password. Less secure, far quicker :)[/quoteise]

Oops. Thanks
