The One Database to Rule Them All

I'm not Gollum so I use several databases. I personally do one for each limit/game and then combine my stats from all poker sites as long as the game/limit are the same. There's a lot of advice that suggests that "PT3/postgres can handle large databases so just put everything into one big datab...

Re: PA doesn't work after change database to SQL

Um other info is I have PT3 also and have both SQL 8.3 and 8.2 installed because PAHUD would not work with 8.3 so I dunno if this could cause a problem. Could it cause problems? YES! If you have two copies of postgres installed then they must be configured to use different ports. This complicates y...

Re: big noob need help

I'm not sure if I understand what PostgreSQL really does. It is a database. Nothing more. PT3 uses it to store the hand histories that you import. It has none of the "magical" properties that you have attributed to it. You'll have to feed PT3 millions of hand histories if you want million...

Re: Installation Help

If you go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs is postgres listed? In either case I would completely uninstall PT3 and then completely uninstall postgres. Then reboot and try installing PT3 again. If you are running Vista then you must run the installers as administrator. It will be an option if yo...

You have to go to the Process List and kill the "PokerTracker.exe" process. I usually target the one eating up the most memory. :D

Re: Observed hands on Everest ?

ISayu wrote:Is it possible to import observed hands from Everest ?

No, the software doesn't write hand histories when you observe tables. The only way would be to use third-party software.

Re: purchase PT3 through poker room

Can i make a transfer at poker room in order to receive code for PT3? Yes, Poker Stars allows this. No other site allows it however. BTW susan for non-US players it is VERY expensive to withdrawal money. Neteller tends to screw you pretty good both ways. Transferring and amount as small as $90 woul...

Re: Everest TT shows 'phantom' players

I've seen this as well. They really are phantom players. Like it will show 7 or 8 players for a 6-max table for example. Also it often duplicates a player that is seated at the table, but their name will be in a different case. (For example all lowercase instead of mixed case.) I can send you a few ...
